Dunlop has developed a new groundbreaking technology called “Natural Tennis”. Dunlop along with Frank Messerer, a leading tennis expert from Germany, worked hand in hand on creating such a technology- the first of its kind- that will revolutionize the sport of tennis.
“Natural tennis” makes use of an innovative COPPER WIRE CONTRUCTION for exceptional touch, maximum cushioning and optimal control. Copper has long been used in the sports industry from recovery products like socks and sports bracelets/ necklaces which are very popular for strength enhancement and for their healing/ anti- inflammatory properties.
The innovation consists of a triad of grip technology, string and novel Besaitungssystem (Slow- Medium- Fast or SMF). When combined, these three elements improve playability, give added protection to the arm, and provide a different experience or natural feel when playing. When playing tennis, ball impact causes vibrations. Vibrations are conducted after ball impact with the help of copper construction on the racket frame to the handle and as well as the player’s hand. Negative vibrations are then eliminated as they are picked up by the handle system in a silicone pad. To add an overall support, the Copper Tape Grip is also underlaid with a copper coating.
The NT string is different from other strings in the market. It has a special Revolution NT coating where in the ‘slipping’ of the strings is eliminated for a pure play time of 12 to 14 hours. There is a Hybrid string consisting of revolution NT black (seven edged premium polyester) for maximum spin and the revolution NT yellow for maximum touch and durability. Aside from the string, a Dunlop also introduces a specialized string system with templates that achieve a balanced tension. The SMF system is a new, groundbreaking Besaitungssystem which tunes the string tension individually to the head size of the racquet and the playability of the player. The result is up to 30% larger sweet spot and is sure to tackle different needs of the players.
